    About AAP

Anatomy is the identification and description of the structures of living things. Anatomy can be divided into versatile areas such as gross/topographical/macroscopic anatomy and microscopic anatomy.

Gross anatomy refers to the study of the biological structures that may be seen with the naked eye. It is involved in dissection or non-invasive methods to acquire data about the larger structures of organs and organ systems.

Microscopic anatomy, also known as histology, is the study of cells and tissues of animals, humans and plants that are too small to been seen with the naked eye. Microscopic anatomy commonly involves studying tissues and cells by sectioning and staining and then looking at them under an electron or light microscope.

Physiology aims to understand the mechanisms of living i.e. how living things work. Human physiology studies how our cells, muscles and organs work together and how they interact. Physiology is also referred as the "science of life". Physiologists say that physiology is a fundamental science for understanding about "life", how to go about treating diseases and coping with the stresses our bodies are exposed to in different environments.

    Difference between physiology and anatomy

Anatomy studies the form, while physiology looks at the function. Anatomy looks at what it is, while physiology looks at what it does. Physiology and anatomy are very closely related disciplines; they are intrinsically linked. Medical researchers tend to study the two disciplines in tandem.

    Peertechz's initiative

Peertechz's Archives of Anatomy and Physiology is an initiative and forever attempt to find the answers to key questions in different aspects such as how single cell functions, how human populations interact, what is the impact of our environment on earth; in other words, wide range of subjects related to anatomy and physiology.

Peertechz's Archives of Anatomy and Physiology provides a platform for the researchers, doctors, authors and scientists to explore the close relationship between anatomy and physiology. The Archives of Anatomy and Physiology promotes, shares, and discusses various new issues and developments in different areas of Anatomy and Physiology.

Why Archives of Anatomy and Physiology?

Peertechz's Archives of Anatomy and Physiology is a unique platform for the researchers to publish their understanding relating to the abnormalities that occur in human and animal diseases. Peertechz urges translational research i.e. the Physiologists should work closely with other scientists and health care professionals in seeking and publishing new methods for treating different diseases.

Peertechz believes that Anatomy is to physiology just like geography is to history. Anatomy is concerned with the structure while physiology provides the setting for the events. The main reason for the emergence of Peertechz's Archives of Anatomy and Physiology is to publish the manuscripts that will consider structure and function together with more emphasis on the anatomy of the living body. The Archives of Anatomy and Physiology is to put in front of international intellectual community the values and interest of rather neglected aspects of anatomy and physiology.
